PermaJet MonochromePro
Cartridges are available for the Epson 1290, 1290S and 2100 printers. These cartridges are direct replacements for the standard Epson cartridges and incorporate compatible chips where appropriate.  Although designed for the Epson 1290 these inks will also work in the older 1270.

You must fit MonochromePro cartridges in both the black position and colour position for the system to work properly.

Fitting MonochromePro cartridges to your printer does not prevent you from refitting the original colour cartridges when you want to print in colour, but for maximum economy we suggest you only change when the cartridge is empty - otherwise you will waste ink in cleaning cycles to flush the old ink through the print head.

For the 1290 printer, cleaning cartridges are not normally required when changing between Epson and PermaJet inks but their use is recommended for optimum results. We also recommend the use of cleaning cartridges when upgrading from VTBlax to MonochromePro. You do not need cleaning cartridges for the Epson2100.
