How to obtain Custom ICC Printer Profiles
The process is simple! Download our instruction leaflet which explains what you need to do to print the necessary test chart using the particular combination of printer, ink and paper that you want profiling. Follow the instructions carefully to print the chart, allow to dry thoroughly and then post (mail) the chart to us along with the completed order form and your payment. We will then measure the chart and generate the profile, and e-mail it back to you. For a small extra charge we can return your profile(s) on a CD-ROM.

Please note:
Our service covers RGB printers only - i.e. most ink-jet printers by Epson, Canon, HP etc., and some dye-sub and colour laser printers. You must be using software with full colour management such as Photoshop 6, 7, CS, Photoshop Elements, Picture Window Pro. We don’t recommend Paint Shop Pro as although it has facilities for using ICC profiles, we’ve found that the implementation is poor and we’ve been unable to get good results with this software. You need an individual profile for every combination of printer, ink, paper and settings you use. A profile made for your printer will probably not work properly on another even if it’s an identical model. If you want your prints to match your monitor (within the limitations imposed by the fact that a monitor emits light whereas a print reflects it) you must fully profile your monitor. The Adobe Gamma utility provided with Photoshop is a good start, but we recommend you use a hardware profiling device such as the Eye-One Display or Pantone Spyder for best results. It is your responsibility to follow the instructions fully and carefully! We can only measure what you send us, and if the chart is not printed correctly the resulting profile is unlikely to work properly. Guarantee: we want you to be happy with our service. If your profile doesn’t work as expected we will discuss possible reasons with you and endeavour to resolve the problem. If after reasonable time and experiment you’re still not getting the results you expect, we will refund your payment.
