A range of tones from one ink set
PermaJet MonochromePro inks allow a wide range of toning effects for monochrome printing. The neutral inks are basically warm in tone, with a blue ink in one of the colour positions. Depending on the amount of blue ink used during printing, the print tone can be varied from warm through neutral to cool. This is controlled using adjustment curves applied to the image in Photoshop prior to printing. By varying the shape of these curves the print tone can be altered - it is possible to alter the tone in specific areas of the print as well, to obtain for example warm shadows and cool highlights. Four basic curves are provided, typical results from which are shown below.
