I was recently asked ‘How do you get into UX design without any previous experience?’
Firstly, work out what you enjoy. Are you a logical thinker, are you interested in the psychological aspects of design? My advice is to research where your interests lie and have a look over on Medium and read some articles where other designers have solved problems, have a read of this UX case study for booking.com
UX design involves research into user personas and user goals, planning of user journeys through an app, website or product. It’s the UX designer’s job to meet with clients and customers to enable them to meet their goals in the most efficient and enjoyable way possible.
The opportunities are right at your finger tips and there’s nothing stopping you reaching out and starting a conversation. Watch the video below where I answer some questions with Michael to help him decide if a career in UX design is the right fit for him.
If there were any unanswered questions from the video above ☝️then I’d love to know about them. Feel free to leave a comment below or get in touch and I would be happy to have a Zoom call and answer all of your questions.
I'll be in touch very shortly to arrange a time for our first meeting!
